RESOLUTIONS AT GRANDE PROMENADE JULY 25-26, 2008

 

Grande Chef de Gare Passe’ Jim Burden offered a notion to put left over money from the Nurses Training Raffle into the General Budget.  Seconded by V/M Mike Wood, Accepted by All.

 

Grand Avocate Tom LaVinka offered a notion to accept the Grand Constitution and By Laws that was rewritten to conform to the Nationale Constitution and By-Laws adopted in October 2006.  Duly Seconded by V/M A.D. Carter and accepted by all.

Grand Correspondant read the “RESOLVED”  on the resolutions from Voiture Locale 977 endorsing Voyageur Mike Wood for Sous Chef de Chemin de Fer.  V/M W.T. Jones offered a notion to accept.  Seconded by V/M Mike Toole. Accepted by all.

 

Grand Correspondant presented the Naionale Resolution on Membership.  Individual discussions was limited to five minutes.  There were 8 Voyageur Militaire who Spoke—3 for, 2 against, 3 with general comments.  Grand Chef Passe’ Jim Burden requested a “roll call” vote.  The Grand Correspondant called the “roll call” vote and the outcome was 10 to support/accept the Nationale Resolution and 25 to reject/non support the Nationale Resolution.  The Grand Delegation to Promenade Nationale will be instructed to vote - “reject/non support” when this resolution comes to the floor.

 

Grand Chef de Gare Passe’ Jim Burden, Campaign Manager for V/M Joe Ser’s endeavor of Chef de Chemin de Fer reminded everyone that the travels will begin and this is a costly endeavor.  Any Voiture Locale or any individual who would like to contribute to this fund, their contribution would be greatly appreciated.  (Contributions can be sent to:  Jim Burden, 621 Brooke St., Newport, VA  23605)
