From the Grande Chef de Train

First of all I would like to thank all of the Voitures for electing me as your Grand Chef de Train.  I will do my utmost to serve you well to the best of my ability.

As your Grand Chef de Train, it has been my utmost desire to visit each and every locale within the state, to talk with you about membership.  That is by invitation of course. First I need the dates, location, and time of your Proms. Membership is one of our biggest problems and is something that we all should strive to do something about.

It is always good to be of assistance to our Locales.  Since the new year is starting, let’s all work to get those memberships in early.  I know we have issues with past members not wanting to renew.  That seems to be a widespread issue.  But, Chefs, let’s push to get new members, members that want to be a 40 & 8er.  I am here to help if you need me.  You will be hearing more from me Locale Chefs.

Please contact me if you have any questions or need assistance.

From Sous Chef de Train—East

Here we are now starting a new membership year, and several questions come to mind.  How many Voitures will make 100% ?  How many will be "Early Bird" Voitures and make 100% by the Fall Cheminot?  How many by the Winter Cheminot?  The answer to that question is up to you.  Every Voiture in the west section (V-53, V-449, V-934, V-976, V-1104, V-1133 and V-1569) has the potential of being an Early Bird?  Will you be the first?  With everyone's assistance, we all can do it easily.  BUT - it will take everyone's help to make it happen.

Congratulations to all you new Locale Chef de Gares, the ball is now in

in your court.  With the help of your voyagers you can attain that magical mark.  Break out your membership listings and start making phone calls for renewals, then start beating the bushes at your American Legion posts.

Let's have a wonderful year.  It will be busy, but if everyone pitches in , it will also be fun.

For La Societe,

Bill
