Sickness and Distress

Just a short note to let you know that it took me 69 years to spend Christmas as a patient in the Hospital. I have a St Judes replacement valve and sometime during the month of early December I had a serious blood infection they think came from my kidneys that would or could effect the valve and it would not function. After spending 5 days in the CCU and another 2 in a ward and some testing of the heart by going down my throat and looking at the valve they found it to be free of bacteria and now I am home and on out patient IV for the next 8 days I should be back to my normal self by the 20th.
